Jam Roll Cake

A spongy cake full of Jam so easy to make and roll. This cake requires minimum ingredients and is very easy to make. Looking for a quick dessert?


3 large eggs 
4 1/2 tablespoons of sugar
9 tablespoons of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons of strawberry Jam
2 tablespoons of powdered sugar for sprinkling


  1. Beat eggs with vanilla essence in high speed. Add sugar in three additions while beating. 
  2. Once the mixture has reached ribbon consistency (when you draw number 8 on the batter using the batter, it stays on the batter), add the flour little at a time and fold. Be gentle when folding.
  3. Make sure the flour is incorporated to the batter. Transfer the batter to the tray and spread evenly. 
  4. Tap the tray to release air bubbles and bake for 15 minutes. (Do not over bake or under bake)
  5. Once baked, sprinkle some powdered sugar on top and roll using another baking paper or kitchen towel. Let it cool completely.
       6. Once cooled, open up the roll cake and spread strawberry jam evenly.
        7. Now roll it very tightly and gently. Freeze it for 15 minutes before serving. Slice & Enjoy!
