Chocolate Panna Cotta with strawberry sauce

A rich, creamy and delicious desert topped with a fresh strawberry sauce. It a perfect, special day desert or for celebrations. 


For the Panna Cotta
120g semisweet chocolate chopped
200ml whole milk
200ml whipping cream
1/2 tbsp gelatin powder
2 tbsp water
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp instant coffee
Pinch of salt

For the strawberry sauce

1 Cup chopped strawberries
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp water


  1. Dissolve gelatin in 2 tbsp cold water and let it sit for about 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Then dissolve the instant coffee with 1 tbsp of milk and add it to the rest of the milk.
  3. In a medium sized saucepan bring the milk ,cream, sugar and salt  to a simmer over medium-low heat (Do not boil). 
  4.  Remove from heat and add vanilla and chopped chocolate. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.  
  5. Add gelatin and stir until the gelatin has completely dissolved. 
  6. Pour it in the prepared desert glasses or moulds and refrigerate for about 4 hrs or better overnight. 
  7. Before serving prepare the strawberry sauce. 
  8. To prepare the strawberry sauce, add the chopped strawberries, water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil and let it cool completely and refrigerate.
  9. Pour over the set Panna Cotta before serving. Enjoy!!
